What is sis probation?

SIS probation (Supervised Individualized Supervision) is a type of probation that is granted to offenders who meet the criteria for a more intensive level of supervision than regular probation.

It is designed to provide additional support and supervision to those who need it the most, such as repeat offenders or those with a history of substance abuse or violence.

During SIS probation, the offender is required to meet regularly with a probation officer, as well as participate in drug or alcohol counseling or other rehabilitation programs as directed by the court.

The length of SIS probation varies depending on the case, but it typically lasts between one and three years.

If the offender successfully completes their SIS probation, they may be eligible to have their record expunged or have their sentence reduced. However, if they violate the terms of their probation, they may face more severe consequences, including revocation of probation and incarceration.
